Rendezvous Rupert

Rendezvous Rupert, established in 1999, is the realization of Linda Vanderlee’s vision for a day retreat offering professional coaching and facilitation services for individuals and organizations. Rendezvous Rupert’s comfortable and well-equipped meeting space is housed in a renovated 19th century barn. 

Located 40 minutes north of Ottawa, people come to Rendezvous Rupert to reflect, realign and rejuvenate. Rendezvous Rupert offers meeting facilities, food and professional facilitation to support your retreat experience.

 The space

The indoor meeting space is a 20' X 30' room with several windows that bring in natural light. Primarily the space was created for groups of about ten people who want to deepen their connection with each other or a particular subject. We can also remove furniture to open the space up for yoga or other activities where you want to stretch out. If you have a gathering for just a few hours such as an informational meeting or a house concert - we've had upwards of 50 people here!

Overnight

Perhaps you're looking for an overnight retreat. We can accommodate single or couples most comfortably. Sometimes a group will also camp out on the floor together or in tents on the property.

 Ammenities

The kitchen is equipped with a full sized fridge, microwave, hot plate, crock pots, coffee pot (and coffee urn), kettle, tea pots, sinks, dishes, and plenty of coffee and tea.

We now boast a beautiful flush toilet! (with a second facility in the house) Gone are the days of the composting toilet! Note: no shower facilities in the barn.

 Outdoors

Weather permitting, our large, covered deck is a welcoming and unique place for groups to meet. This spacious area is set between a peaceful forest and an open field, with a creek gurgling just below. Depending on the time of year, you might be serenaded by the song of a nearby loon, the chatter of migrating geese, or the melodies of a mingling of regional birds. 

When you come to Rendezvous Rupert, you are immersed in fresh country air, trees and warmth. The sound of the stream bordering the property is sure to calm any racing mind.

Rendezvous Rupert is settled at the edge of the small hamelet of Rupert. It is the perfect setting for inspiration, relaxation and creativity.
