Gendron Bridge

This beautiful bridge was built in 1915.  It was one of the 1st to
link the two banks of Gatineau river.  This impressive red covered
bridge burned down in 1984.  Three years later, volunteers formed the
Wakefield Covered Bridge Committee and raised $600,000 to re-build the
historic bridge.   Only open to pedestrians and cyclists.  One of the
largest tourist sites in the area, it is a 10-15 minute walk from
central Wakefield.

Very picturesque and great for special occasions!
